Shri Kulpakaji Tirth
Mulnayak: Shri
Adishvar Bhagavan , Black Idol, in Aardh Padmasana posture , 105 cms in
height.
Tirth Place:
From Aler, a small village the temple is at a distance of 6 kms., in the small
village called Kulpak.
History:
The idol is very old, its is said that it is made of precious stone taken from
ring of Bharat Chakravarthi, son of Shri Adishvar Bhagavan. The idols history is
older than Ramayana and Mahabharatha. After thousands of years, in 670 V.S.King
Shankar Raja built the temple.
Specialty:
The specialty of the idol is that it belongs to Ashtapad Tirth which is at
present invisible. There is another idol of Bhagavan Mahaveer which is made of
green coloured precious stone (Phiroje Naga) and it is very
attractive.
Other Temples:
At presently there are no temples around this tirth.
Art and Sculptures:
The idol of Bhagavan is attractive due to its special powers and simple design. There
are total 15 ancient idols, each idol has its own specialty.
Guidelines:
The railway station is Aler station, at a distance of about 6 Kms, its is in the
way of Vijayawada to Hyderabad. Here transport facilities are available upto the
temple and in temple Dharmasala is there with all facilities
