Shri Peda Amiram Tirth

Mulnayak:  Shri Vimalnath Bhagavan , Black Idol, in Padmasana posture, 115 cms in height.

Tirth Place: Peda Amiram, a small village. The temple is in the centre of this village.

History: The temple is ancient and comparing this temple with other Jain tirths in Andhra Pradesh, it can be concluded that the idol is nearly 1000 years old. The idol was found underground 60 years ago. Then the temple was built in 2021 V.S., on Magh Shukla 8, under the presence of Shri Nandanvijayaji Maharajsaab.

Specialty: It is said that, when the idol was found, without knowing its Importance, it was hid in the same place. Soon after the act there was unpleasant situation among the people of the village and soon they understood their mistake. So, they took the Idol with procession and placed it in the right place and again there was pleasent atmosphere in the village. The temple is Chamatkari.

Other Temples: At presently there are no temples around this tirth.

Art and Sculptures: The idol of Bhagavan is attractive due to its special powers.

Guidelines: The nearest railway station is Bhimavaram, at a distance of about 4 Kms. From Bhimavaram, transport facilities like Bus and Tanga are available. Bhimavaram can be reached while going from Vijayawada to Gudivada or from Rajmundhry via Nidadavol.
