Shri Ajimganj Tirth

Mulnayak: Shri Chintamani Parshvanath Bhagavan, Padmasana Posture, Orange (Tamra) coloured idol , 36 cms. in height.

Tirth Place: The temple is in middle of the village Ajimganj.

History: This temple was built in 18 century V.S. by many people who came here from Murshidabad, they built many Dharmashalas etc.

Specialty: This temple is one of main tirth's among the 5 others in Bengal. In this temple there are idols of Bhagavan made of "Navratna' which are very attractive.

Other Temples: In the same place there are 7 other Jain temples at present.

Art and Sculptures:  The temple is situated at the bank of rivers Bhagirathi and Ganga and the view is very beautiful. The Big idols of Bhagavan make us remember of ancient art. There are 30 idols made of 'Ratna'. The work in other temples is attractive.

Guidelines: The nearest railway station is Ajimganj itself which is in city. Here transport facilities are available upto the temple. On one side  of Bank is Ajimganj and on the other side is Jiyaganj. All the other temples are in a radius of 2 kms. only.

Facilites:  There is Dharmashala in Jiyaganj from there we can come to Ajimganj by boat. All the other facilities are available.
