Shri Jiyaganj Tirth

Mulnayak: Shri Sambhavnath Bhagavan, Padmasana Posture, White coloured idol , 38 cms. in height.

Tirth Place: The temple is in Oswal Patti of the village Jiyaganj.

History: This temple was built in 150 years ago but the idol is ancient.

Specialty: This temple is one of main tirth's among the 5 others in Bengal. The people who came from Murshidabad built many thing here. They helped in many ways for development of culture.

Art and Sculptures:  The temple is situated at the bank of rivers Bhagirathi and Ganga and the view is very beautiful. The Big idols of Bhagavan make us remember of ancient art. The work in other temples is attractive. The painting in Shri Vasupujya Swami temple are very beautiful.

Guidelines: The nearest railway station is Jiyaganj itself which is in city at a distance of 2 kms. Here transport facilities are available upto the temple. From here Murshidabad is at a distance of 4 kms. and Bahrampur is at a distance of 20 kms. From temple Bus Stand is at a distance of 0.5 kms.
